ATC Saturday: Relaxing My Brain

I'm signed up for a PAT (pick a theme)ATC swap at ATCs FOR ALL and I'm having trouble getting past making my first ATC. Having artist's block I suppose. I took a break from thinking about swaps to make a quick card purely for the fun of making one. It was a nice break.

Marie Beyond the Grave

I missed this by a day. Jeff and I were celebrating the new year.
I don't do a lot of whimsical cards, but I had fun with this one. This was a host card for a PAT (pick a theme swap). I read the host's profile to find out some of the cards she was collecting and tried to merge a couple of the themes in one card. Marie Antoinette and voodoo doll.

Aloha Paper Dolls

My family makes an annual trip to the beach every summer and I find myself longing for that time about December each year. I'm not big on cold and usually Oct-Dec are our busiest months and I'm ready for a break. I can't think of anything more relaxing than sitting on a warm beach with the sand tickling my feet and listening to the calming sound of the waves rushing in. Jeff and I have been discussing going on a romantic vacation this summer and I would love to go to Hawaii. I went once before with a friend to celebrate our 30th birthday and had a blast. I know Jeff would love Hawaii and Hawaii would definitely fit the bill for romantic. I can't wrap my mind around leaving my 4 year here while we are so far away in Hawaii. The trip wont happen this year but I can daydream about it.
